The occupant sensing system does not recognize that someone (full grown adult) is sitting in the passenger seat. This problem is identical to a previous recall (nhtsa campaign # 13v014000) toyota says they do not have to fix it under the recall. Perhaps the recall does not cover all of the vins impacted.

I don't have a quality issue. My problem is the headrests that have to meet nhtsa requirements. When i drive my car, the headrests kill my neck! I'm not even under a doctor's care, but i may have to be, if i keep this vehicle as long as i expect to. Please consider revising the headrest requirements. I think there may be an untold number of consumers with neck and spinal problems due to this mandate.

Passenger seat warmer was on the other day while i was driving and began smoking and melted the seat in the shape of a dime. For a couple weeks it was causing burning feeling in legs from being too hot. I turned off seat warmer and hit the seat until the smoking stopped.
