The driver's seat broke loose from the adjustable seat frame at the outboard rear bracket as i was exiting the vehicle. The weld did not fail. The failure was on the bracket next to the weld point. (this is the 2nd seat failure for me in less than a year! The other vehicle was a 2002 jeep liberty, inboard rear seat bracket.)

The airbag sensor light comes on and flashes. It will shut off and turn on randomly. The wire harness under the seat becomes loose or damaged as the seats are moved and airbags are not detected. The light stays flashing and airbags are non-functional. Toyota knows about this but tries to charge thousands of dollars for them to replace their faulty wires.

The third row power seat became inoperable. The seat back would not come up so someone could sit there. Toyota has a technical service bulletin (tsb) and it is t-sb-0183-09. Toyota knows that they have a problem with this seat. This is a safety issue because the seating capacity is cut and no seat belts for the passengers. I was out of town and we had to fold the seat down to pick up some larger items and when we…

While reconfiguring the middle row seats of my 2006 toyota sienna le, several 15 and 17 mm bolts fell loose from the seat. I removed the moldings around the seats and inspected the situation. My findings, documented with pictures, revealed several loose bolts in the assemble attaching the seat back with the seat bottom. Three bolts had come completely loose while three more were no longer tight in the passenger side…

The srs light began to blink. I took the van to the dealership to diagnose the problem. They said it was due to an open air bag in the front passenger seat which would cost $2000 to repair. I have since searched the internet to find several other complaints about the same problem. The yellow harness under the seat could possibly be the problem. If this wire is wiggled, the light goes off for a period of time.…

I bought a 2006 8 passenger toyota sienna on february 14 and discovered the next day that the second row seating had no arm rests. In sharp turns or when swerving to avoid an accident or debris in the road the second row passengers have nothing to hold on to and are thrown sideways toward the windows. *nm
