Car stalls when accelerating from a stop. Happens on highway stop and go and when entering a junction after a stop sign. After the stall the car jerks as it suddenly lacks torque and goes to a lower gear. Toyota technician said that traction control shuts off fuel. Car smelled of gas from the time i bought it (new) after it was started and it was driven for a few miles.
