You have to push the brakes very hard and all the way to the floor to get the vehicle to stop. The brake pads and shoes were check and they are good. We also had the brakes flushed twice. No fluid is leaking but the mechanic said, it may be the abs system or the master brake cylinder but this would be unusually for a car of this age a 2007 toyota sienna. *tr

Uncontrolled acceleration where depressing the brake pedal was "soft" and did not have any effect in stopping the vehicle. I was driving in light snow at a slow speed (10-15 mph) down a very slight hill (5 degrees). I tried to come to a stop, once at a traffic light and once at a stop sign, and the brakes completely failed. They made a grinding noise, but did not slow the car whatsoever. Luckily i did not hit or was hit by another car, but incident was very frightening. I have not yet scheduled to take them in for a service check. *tr
