Sometime around august 2014, i received a safety recall notice from toyota. It mentioned a new safety recall #e1s which supersedes the prior notice #a9e. This involves the spare tire carrier cable which may corrode due to road salt in cold climate areas, which i understand includes maryland where i live. It has been 4 years and toyota has still not provided a solution to the spare tire (under vehicle mount) recall. Why are you giving them so much time to solve this issue???? This tire sits in the trunk and takes up valuable space. You must put pressure on them to resolve this issue. It should not take 4 years to resolve. *tr
