While driving on the highway on a slight curve on dry pavement the slip indicator light would come on and the alarm sound eventually causing the brakes to engage and the car to jerk on its own without warning. This happens so often that it's dangerous to drive the van with my family.

While on a highway or freeway speeds of 35 to 70 mph while turning on a curve the slip indicator light comes on, causing the vehicle to slow down on a jerk motion as the brakes apply by itself. This can also happen on a sharp curve turning onto the freeway. It's very dangerous situation.

The four bridgestone ecopia ep422 tires were purchased at costco in 2014. Although the tires have been aligned regularly by firestone and tire pressure checked one a month, the outer edge of the tires wore down unevenly. There are only 9,860 miles being used on these tires for 65,000 mile warranty. The unknown problems may be associated with the design of the van or the tires and need to be further examined.

The traction control system comes on when going into any right turn. The alarm beeps and the car automatically brakes, and the gas pedal is disabled so that you can not speed up. The braking can be so severe that it will reduce speed from 45 mph to 25 mph without notice which jerks the passengers violently.

My sienna side door cannot open. My son would not be able to escape the vehicle if a problem in an accident. Dealer said there is no recall but the door cannot even be opened manually. This would be a $1500-2000 repair which as a single mom is not an option for me. I do not feel something as significant as ability to escape a vehicle should fall on the consumer.

The traction control system is often triggering while driving and turning at freeway speeds. It presents a huge risk of losing control every time. Many people with toyota sienna vans are experiencing this same issue as i've seen on various website forums. There should be a recall for this safety issue.

Cable on driver side power sliding door snapped while opening the door when parked. Door would only open a few inches as cable was stuck in the mechanism. I had to close it to drive home then it would not open at all after i got home, even after i disconnected the motor with the button under the dash and tried to operate manually. The door is completely non-functional now. I am concerned now since i can't move the…

Powered passenger doors on both sides of the van malfunctioned and then cable system broke and locked the doors in the closed position. This happened one after the other in about a three-week period. The cable is clearly rusted and shredded on the one side. I cannot tell why the cable pulled out and stopped working on the other side. As i transport 3 or more children at a time, it is a huge safety issue that the…

Struts on the rear door are failing. The door comes down whenever it wants to. This is a safety issue and very dangerous. I see you have had a recall already but it doesn't list my specific year. Failing struts in 2008 are failing. I want toyota to fix this for free.

The passenger sliding door's pulley cable snapped while performing a routing automated door opening operation. There where some grinding noises while the door attempted to open. The vehicle was parked on a level surface. Upon inspection of finding out what happened, the braided cable appeared faulty and was corroded. Meanwhile the loss in tension resulted in loose cable preventing the door from opening and closing…

Passenger rear power sliding door. Cable broke. Known problem. Not safe and not convenient. $1300 just for part and $2000 repair. Probably driver side will be next. 76000 miles and garage kept. Our left rear sliding door won't function or open any more. The cable broke. Then 2 days later the right rear sliding door won't function or open anymore. Same problem. Cable was severed or snapped. Looks like it was rusted on both cables, both sides, and severed in the same position or length. So, both rear sliding doors do not function. They only open to about 1 foot, and no further. Extremely difficult to close…

Power sliding door won't open or closed. Looks like the cable is messing up. Called toyota and they said no recall only a addition to the warranty. 9 years or 120,000 miles. My van has way over 120,000 miles! That stinks! This may cost over $1,000 to repair. I look online and thousands of people having issues! Should be a recall!

The rubber pad under the switch that is used to open the liftgate on the back of the sienna has gone soft and tar like. If i grab a piece it pulls right off like chewing gum. The black star like substance gets on the hands/fingers too and is hard to wash off. This is a very common defect (not normal wear and tear). Toyota won't recall and make it a warranty fix. The part# is 84840-08010 and msrp is $58.53 plus labor.

The rear hatch handle has completely melted, as have the inside rubber components on the sliding doors. Looking online, this has happened to many other toyota owners. This has to be a safety hazard - melting rubber components?

The rear hatch suddenly closes at a fast speed when it is cold. This will happen repeatedly, we have had close calls with this now since november. Toyota shows no recalls for this. *tr

Note: i have two cars, two recalls and the same problem with the dealership. This complaint is in regards to fred anderson toyota raleigh's service department. I have bought 4 cars with this dealership, three of them have had manufactures defects. Every time i call, including this last time for my recall they tell me that not only do they not have the parts available to fix the recall, it will take them "at least"…

The vehicle has developed a cracked (pieces broken off) dashboard. It gets very hot and feels like it is melting. Toyota recognized the problem almost two years ago when they started sending recall notices but to date they haven't come up with a solution to fix it. I have already received about five recall notices but each time the dealer tells me they will have a fix in the winter or fall etc.. Just concerned that…
