the transmission was damaged, the right side passenger side broke, the "brake" lights are on all the time.
Hi i have toyota sienna 2006.i checked for recalls and found 2 unrepaired.what should i do.another thing, when my car goes over 70 miles it becomes shaking. thank you
When driving the vehicle regardless of speed or driving condition the traction control system randomly activates (it is always when going around a curve, but road conditions are dry, speed could be 70 or could be 20, there is no loss of control by me as a driver). this causes the car to abruptly brake. the computer system shows no issues when the dealer looks at it. when i deactivate the traction control system using the button the van will still beep loudly indicating a loss of traction control. it will also kick off the cruise control, but does not activate the automatic braking feature. this has been happening daily for 2 months with multiple visits to repair shops.
I called toyota dealership 8/6/18 to request recall 17v657 and 14v273 to be repaired. the service personnel told me that they would put my name on a list for someone to call me when the parts were in. i called back today 10/11/18 to the parts department and was told both parts were in. he transferred me back to service who said the parts at the dealership 'were not for me' and i just need to wait. this is unacceptable as i have waited over 2 months for my auto to be repaired. i called the safety hotline on my letter 888-327-4236 and the call was disconnected. please help me to get my car fixed.
The left sliding door would not close, i have sent this issue three times when it was under warantee, and it happened again 8/8/18 same problem the sliding door would not close.. the van was stationary and after opening the left sliding, it would not close.
In the involved vehicles, grease inside the shift lever assembly could transfer to other internal components, causing them to function improperly.
Dash board is cracked all over . and not safe to drive with kids or dogs. i'm in florida witch is very hot state and you can feel and see this is dangerous plastic dash board. . they got recall 2 years ago and toyota dealership close it . this year my dash board is looking horrible, begins just this year. i have same problem with my 2007 toyota camry . i thing toyota used the same material from plastic , that after 10 years it is not safe for people and way to expensive to fix it.
I took my toyota 2006 sienna in to the local dealer on 9/3/16 to have the spare tire cable replaced under warranty after receiving a letter from toyota. i asked the service advisor if the van had any other recalls or warranty through toyota. i was told yes for the rear lift gate struts but parts would have to be ordered. i asked about the melting dashboards since my father had seen it on the news and the van was on the list; even though as with the lift gate, i did not receive a letter from toyota. i asked for the dashboard parts to be ordered at the same time the lift gate parts were ordered. the service advisor told me that the dashboard did not apply to my van. i went to the dealer, asked for the dashboard and was told no on 9/3/16. i drove the van on august 19, 2017 and left it parked in a parking lot for 15 minutes. when i returned i had a melting dash! it was all gooey and sticky to the touch. it was shining like it was coated in grease or oil. the glare reflected in the windshield ...
The cable that opens and closes the side sliding door has become frayed. based on my investigation, this could cause the door to be stuck either open or closed which would create a serious safety risk.
While i was parking my toyota sienna the engine revved and the van took off like a rocket! my foot was on the brake and only the brake the entire time. i finally stopped after running uncontrollably into a building!
In august 2016, the cable to our power sliding passenger rear door broke while on vacation. up to this point the door made a little "groaning" sound when opened but it never failed to work. after the cable broke, we were able to open the door manually for about 1 week, then the door stopped opening. after researching the internet, this is a common problem. toyota has offered a fix to vehicles 9 years or younger for specific year vehicles. ours is too old. if this is a common problem, why is the replacement of this cable prior to breakage a not required maintenance item? i feel this is a safety issue since if we are ever in an accident that requires a fast exit from the vehicle, anyone sitting in the third row will have a difficult exit.
The automatic sliding passenger door jammed approximately halfway open and could no longer be opened or closed. the incident occurred while the vehicle was stationary at a rest stop along i-87. i removed the door panel and observed that the protective plastic coating on the actuator cable had worn off and the bare cable appeared to have cut through one of the plastic pulleys which completely disintegrated thus jamming the door. i had to cut the cable and remove the remnants of the pulley in order to be able to manually operate the door so i could continue driving home with my family. no one was harmed as a result of the incident.
Minivan is kept in garage all the time and driven very few miles per year. however, there is intense cracking all over the dashboard. the dashboard is melting and jeopardizing the airbags being deployed. toyota is aware of this and sent a warranty enhancement notification to get all melting/cracked dashboards fixed free of charge. however, the toyota dealership never called to tell me the part is in and it has been almost 2 years now and now i am told it's past the date to get this fixed. dealership: texas toyota of grapevine, 701 state hwy. 114 east, grapevine, tx 76051 (817) 259 - 1493 is phone number. it is suspect, the order was cancelled so toyota can save money and then tell customers it's past the date of getting this fixed. vehicle has defective, cracking dashboards & toyota know of this.
The right side sliding door will not open automatically also will not shut when automatic button is pushed. i am very concerned this door may not open if needed or shut if needed.
The drivers side passenger door does not stay closed. i have had it fixed once last year and now it flies open again even when your driving. it will not stay closed even if you turn off the power door.
