We have classified the 47 complaints from 2005 Toyota Sienna about AIR BAGS into the following categories.
The drivers side door. when open and closing the door, there is a very loud clicking. i was told that there is a crack in the door near the top hing that is connected to the door.
Airbag light for driver side blinks off and on during driving at speeds between 35-45 mph. this occurred at 209,560 +/- miles. this is occuring with other issues in the electrical modules including abs control malfunction, power supply voltage yaw/deceleration sensor and it loses communication with steering angle sensor module. this seems to not only be an issue with my vehicle but others as well from reading many forums on toyota sienna vans including ones just a few years old.
Tl* the contact owns a 2005 toyota sienna. while driving 40 mph, the contact's vehicle was struck alongside the driver's side sliding door by another vehicle. the side curtain air bags failed to deploy. the contact was able to drive the vehicle away from the scene. a police report was not filed. there were no injuries. a dealer was not contacted. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 216,000.
The light airbags is on don't go out same time works regularly
Dashboard was replaced in a recall and after the service was performed the airbag inflated light remained on. the dealer said that it was something to do with a sensor and was not related to the work they had performed, yet said it needed to have a diagnostic performed and they wanted to charge for that and for any other work done as a result of it. how could they possibly know it's unrelated to the work they performed if they had not done the diagnostic and it had never had this problem before they worked on it?. i feel strongly that they are just trying to avoid having to do any extra work it's not covered by warranty or paid for. as a result this is creating a highly unsafe situation with a false reading and not knowing if the airbags will accidentally deploy or if they will function properly in an accident. this is putting my family and i at risk
It was in the accident and the airbag did not deploy. it always has the light on
The dash board is cracked on or near the passenger side air bag. i feel this could be a problem for the passenger if activated. toyota knew of this problem and had a recall which ended my 2017. i was never notified of this recall. a check with toyota and they state nothing can be done.

S10 appropriate handling- copy of a letter to the customer service department of toyota requesting contact with auto nation toyota to arrange for a loaner automobile due to the front passenger airbag recall. *smd
Mileage 128,054 airbag light went gone off. toyota saying the entire airbag system needs to be replace. they performed a hard computer rest. 02/13/17 - 02/25/17 (current) the light comes on at different times'. light comes on when car is started in park light comes on once the car is started and the driver seat belt is connected light comes on once the car is started, driver seat belt connected and the car is in drive. the dealership replaced the dashboard on a recall and since then the airbag light has been on.
The air bag light is on for the third time since i got my car, it got fixed twice before under the warranty but now is not in the warranty no more.
Airbag light came on for no apparent reason. dealership wants $5000 to replace the airbag harness assembly because the impact image sensor is damaged. this seems like a great deal of money for a sensor.

2005 sienna, srs airbag light came on while driving. vehicle has not been involved in a crash. connectors were checked and were secure. ran scan on srs with innova 3150 and received error code b0101 "open in d squib circuit". after researching online, it seems to be a common problem in the 2005 and 2006 models. there should be a recall. some dealers just want to replace the entire airbag system, which is an expensive solution. this is a huge safety concern for toyota.
