Dt*: the contact stated the button on the key to open the hatch was depressed and the hatch went up, then immediately went down and would not stay open. The liftgate "slipped", failed and came down on the owner. Because it was set for auto closure, it came down with a mechanical force behind it. I had to disable the auto closure because of this and then it just came crashing down by gravity.
