I purchased the seat and received it mid-april. i installed it using the latch into our van for about 2 wks and then it got moved to our car and was installed by the seatbelt. we then moved it back to the van installing it with latch for a long trip and the latch was stuck open so we had to install it using the seatbelt. Cosco child safety seat has ridges made into the back that were causing bruises on the consumer's child's back. the child has complained that the seat was hurting his back for awhile before the consumer finally checked the bruises. the manufacturer has been informed of the problem. *ak
